The annual Neev Literature Festival, focused on children’s books, returns this weekend with the theme ‘Stories make us human’.
It will host 80 speakers and feature 134 sessions for children, parents, and educators. A marketplace at the venue will offer over 2,000 curated children’s books. The event also includes book launches, author interactions, masterclasses, a book award, and a book-themed quiz.
International guests include Uma Krishnaswami, author of ‘Book Uncle and Me’, and Emily Drabble, former editor of The Guardian’s children’s books section. Indian book creators such as Poile Sengupta, Paro Anand, Devika Rangachari, Anushka Ravishankar, Shabnam Minwalla, and Ashok Rajagopalan will also take part.
The festival will explore a wide range of discussions — from the intersection of science and everyday life, to writing for boys, the craft of second-person narration, and the role of artificial intelligence in publishing.
In addition to a new segment for teens aged 15 to 18, the festival has added more masterclasses for adults.
