The Karnataka High Court directed Mohammed Nalapad to approach the trial court regarding his request to relax his bail conditions. The court stated that as the proceedings are being carried out at the trial court, he should approach the trial court.

Justice John Michael Cunha was hearing a petition filed by Nalapad who had moved the high court seeking permission to got to the United Kingdom for 15 days to visit his brother. The high court, in its June 14 order, had granted him bail in connection with an assault case. In its order, the court had directed him not to leave the jurisdiction of the trial court without prior permission from the trial court.

Nalapad was arrested for assaulting Vidwath, son of a businessman, at Farzi Cafe, an upscale restaurant in UB City, in February. The court disposed of the petition.
