Ahead of the BBMP elections, scheduled to be held on Saturday, a local artist planted lotus flowers in water-logged potholes across the old airport road to create public awareness.

The blooming lotus flowers, though not real, did make heads turn. The vibrant lotus flowers in the potholes were made of thermocol.

The pothole ridden roads in the city not only make travelling troublesome, but are also a threat to life.

Earlier, local artists had placed a crocodile and a giant anaconda in the pothole-ridden roads of Bengaluru to draw the attention of the denizens.
