According to police, Srinivas K A (30) of Rajagopalanagar was heading home in his auto when the lorry transporting scrap towards the Peenya Industrial Area smashed into auto from behind killing him on the spot. The lorry later hit Babu (30), a pedestrian crossing the road, before turning turtle. Babu, who runs a gym in HMT Layout, Tumkur Road, sustained fracture of legs.
While Babu was rushed to the Sanjeevini Hospital, Srinivas' body was taken to the MS Ramaiah Hospital.
