Bengaluru: The Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) said it had received the National Public Bus Transport Excellence Award for digital practices under new initiatives.
The award, presented by the Association of State Road Transport Undertakings (ASRTU), recognises the BMTC’s metro feeder QR code services.
The initiative allows passengers to access bus services that connect with metro stations, and book and pay for their rides digitally. It offers bus schedules, real-time tracking and contactless payment options, the BMTC said.
