Delegate registration for the Bengaluru International Short Film Festival (BISFF) is now open. The festival will be held between August 7 and 17. 

The festival, now in its 15th edition, is the only Academy Awards Qualifying Festival in India for fiction. It has also received the Academy accreditation for animated films this year, according to artistic director Anand Varadaraj.

The competition section will feature seven categories — International, Indian, Kannada, Animation, Let’s Include, Queer Qorner and Women’s Collective. Apart from this, the event will also screen a set of non-competitive films. 

Winners of the script competition, ‘Script to Screen’, held as a part of BISFF’s year-round programme, will be announced at the end of the festival. It will also host filmmaking workshops, masterclasses and panel discussions.
