Speaking to reporters after a visit to the Park here on Saturday, Katti said that the State Government will form a task force to keep a vigil against the visitors who feed the dogs. This had turned a menace here, he said.

He said that this measure will prevent people from bringing in unnecessary waste food into the park. He also warned the people  against  leaving fish and birds into the ponds in the parks.  

Announcing that the State has reserved a sum of Rs 92 lakh for development of Cubbon Park, he said that the lotus pond in the park will be fenced and desilted to make it more attractive. He also said that the shade garden will be developed all along the Cubbon Park and the lawns will be widened. Waterfalls will also be created around the rocks in the park.
