The advisory came a day after an autorickshaw driver died when an uprooted tree fell on his parked vehicle.

Heavy rains in Bengaluru uprooted 23 trees and snapped 52 branches in a single day.

BBMP’s special commissioner and zonal commissioners visited the affected areas to assess rain-related damage. "All fallen trees have been cleared," the BBMP said in a statement.

The advisory, issued by the BBMP’s Deputy Conservator of Forests (DCF), stated that 40-year-old Mahesh lost his life, and an autorickshaw along with two cars were damaged after a tree collapsed on them in Kathriguppe, South Zone.

Most of the tree falls were reported in the South Zone, while broken branches were recorded in the South and West zones, where the concentration of roadside trees is high.
