Rao, who inspected various ongoing projects in the RR Nagar zone, asked officials to complete the land acquisition process quickly and coordinate with the Bengaluru Traffic Police (BTP) to ensure the project is completed within the stipulated time.

According to a statement by the BBMP, the 500-meter-long flyover project is 75% complete and work on the down-ramp is in progress. The BBMP has also submitted a proposal for widening the service road.

The Chief Commissioner also inspected the works at the flyover near Gopalan Arch on Mysore Road. The project has been stalled due to a delay in the acquisition of 33 properties. Rao instructed officials to expedite the land acquisition process and resume the project at the earliest.

He also directed officials to clear encroachments on pedestrian pathways and desilt stormwater drains and shoulder drains to ensure smooth flow of rainwater. He asked officials to take up a survey to identify encroachments on the SWDs near Gopalan Arch.
