Bengaluru: The BBMP broke all its records in property tax collection as it netted Rs 4,284 crore as revenue by the end of November. A large portion of the tax came from Mahadevapura, where Rs 1,148 crore was generated as property tax, followed by East (Rs 710 crore) and South (Rs 606 crore).
The BBMP has set a target of Rs 5,200 crore from property tax by end of this fiscal year.
BBMP Chief Commissioner Tushar Girinath said the One-Time Settlement (OTS) scheme stands expired and the civic body would not extend it.
