Employees, including engineers working in the BBMP — who took mass leave on Tuesday — have promised to return to work after top officials gave them assurance that their demands would be met.
Barring revenue-related services, there was no major disruption as most civic works, including garbage collection, is completely outsourced.
The employees called off the protest after BBMP Chief Commissioner M Maheshwar Rao and Suralkar Vikas Kishor, BBMP Special Commissioner (Health), received the memorandum presented by the employees and assured them that their demands would be met.
It is also learnt that the revenue officers, who were suspended for botched caste survey census, were reinstated.
