The BBMP has issued a public notice, prohibiting the illegal transportation and slaughter of animals. Beef and meat traders have been informed that illegal and unauthorised slaughter or sacrifice of animals in public places is prohibited. Only those with trade licences are permitted to slaughter and sell meat on their premises.
