Bengaluru: A day after DH reported on the poor condition of roads leading to many educational institutions in the city, the BBMP repaired potholes near a private school in Babusapalya by asphalting the damaged sections.
However, no footpaths were repaired. The civic body had deployed a truck loaded with tar to fill the potholes. But potholes on Babusapalya Main Road remained untouched due to insufficient tar.
Overall, BBMP engineers repaired potholes on Panathur Railway Parallel Road, Vidyaranyapura, Ganesha Mandira Road, Horamavu-Agara Road, and Nayandahalli Junction, among other areas.
After a meeting with various section heads, BBMP Chief Commissioner M Maheshwar Rao directed the road engineering department to fill potholes across the city before the rains begin.
