Bengaluru: In a show of support for Operation Sindoor, a retaliatory strike by the Indian Armed Forces following the Pahalgam terror attack, the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) will organise a 'Tiranga Yatre' (flag march) on Friday.
The march will begin at KR Circle and proceed towards the Chinnaswamy cricket stadium. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar will participate in the event.
In an official circular, the BBMP’s Special Commissioner (Administration) directed all staff and officers to assemble at KR Circle by 9 am.
The directive also assigned specific responsibilities to officers to ensure the event’s smooth execution.
While the zonal commissioner of the East Zone has been tasked with coordinating with the Police Department for traffic management, joint commissioners have been asked to oversee staff attendance.
The Bengaluru Solid Waste Management Limited (BSWML) has been instructed to deploy marshals for crowd control. Additionally, the BBMP’s health wing has been asked to provide medical support, including ambulances.
