The BDA made the assertion after a news article published by DH on January 30, 2025, raised concerns about the delay in completing the project within the 100-day target set by the chief secretary. The report indicated that the project would take at least another year to complete.

According to the BDA, it has completed 12 out of 17 spans in the down ramp from the railway track to Bangalore Baptist Hospital. The remaining five spans are nearing completion.

"In the KR Puram to city up-ramp, three pile foundation works are underway, and in the remaining four spans, work is complete up to the pier cap level. Key materials, including steel plates and bearings, have been procured, and fabrication work is in progress," the BDA noted in a statement.

Approximately 200 labourers are working at the site daily and work is progressing as per schedule.

The BDA remains committed to completing the KR Puram to city loop by the end of April 2025, a deadline set by the chief secretary, the BDA assured.
