The Air Intelligence Unit of Bengaluru Customs confiscated 267 grams of crude gold from a passenger on Friday.
Officers intercepted a passenger who had arrived in the city from Dubai via Emirates flight EK 568.
Based on previous profiling, they inspected the passenger’s bag and discovered nuts and bolts made of crude gold concealed within the baggage.
The combined weight of the nuts and bolts was approximately 267 grams. Investigations are on.
