Bengaluru: Aided by the canine squad, police on Sunday traced a five-year-old girl who had gone missing from her house in western Bengaluru’s Ullal on Saturday night.

Jnanabharathi police received a complaint from a couple that their daughter had gone missing from their house.

Soon, the police launched a search operation and called the canine squad for help.

According to police, after sniffing the child’s clothes, the canine squad led the police to a nearby house where friends of the child’s parents resided. On arrival, police found the girl and handed her over to her parents.

Jnanabharathi police are yet to investigate whether the child was kidnapped by her parents’ friends or if someone else was behind her disappearance.
