Bengaluru: An elderly woman from Maharashtra died after being hit by a speeding bike in Yelahanka, North Bengaluru.
According to the Chikkajala traffic police, 70-year Varsha Havanur had stepped out for a walk with her housemaid when a speeding motorbike struck her near MVIT Junction in Hunasamaranahalli on Ballari Road around 6:45 pm on Thursday.
She suffered grievous injuries and died on the way to the hospital, the police said.
Varsha had come to visit her daughter, who lives in the Mahaveer apartment complex near MVIT, about 15 days ago, the police added.
