As per claims that surfaced online, the husband Srikant, who is a software engineer filed a complaint against his wife and claimed his wife "physically assaulted" him and attempted to kill him by "attacking his private parts".

Srikant had posted a video online where the wife can allegedly be seen making her demands, as per multiple news reports. The video has allegedly sparked reactions online.

The wife has other demands too apart from asking for money. According to Srikant, the wife does not want a biological child, "as it will affect her physical appearance", reported News18.

She instead insisted they adopt a child; however, Srikant stands against this idea. These discussions further escalated into more disputes that strained their relationship.

The couple got married in 2022, and since then, according to Srikant, he has been facing torment due to frequent fights. He also added that her family is backing her and stated his difficulty in living with her.

Explaining the troubles he had been facing, Srikant noted that his wife "deliberately creates disturbances" while he is working, which affected his professional life and he lost his job.

She would play loud music and dance while he worked which bothered him, the report stated.

Following the tensed marriage, Srikant asked for a divorce following which his wife demanded Rs 45 lakh from him. Additionally, the wife "blackmailed" him saying if he did not comply, she will "harm herself".

However, after the media approached them, Srikant's wife denied all the allegations. She claimed that he has been doing this to defame her.

In order to "manipulate public opinion", Srikant filed the case, the wife claimed.

The case was recorded as a non-cognisable report (NCR), however, the police stated that they found some loopholes in the case as Srikant did not mention the demand of Rs 5,000 daily in his written report.
