Bengaluru: A 47-year-old man allegedly died by suicide in his northern Bengaluru home, police officials said on Monday. The deceased, Somashekar M G was a resident of Mahalakshmi Layout and a local businessman.

According to the police, Somashekar, who lived with his wife and two children, was found hanging in his room by his wife around 11 pm on Sunday. Somashekar was taken to hospital, where he succumbed on Monday morning.

Based on the statement of the victim’s father Girigowda P, the Mahalakshmi Layout police registered an Unnatural Death Report (UDR).

Girigowda, in his statement, claimed that Somashekar was distressed due to domestic issues and he didn’t suspect any foul play in the death.
