Bengaluru: In light of the incessant rains in Bengaluru, the Deputy Commissioner of Bengaluru Urban, Jagadeesha G, has declared a holiday for all schools on Wednesday.
The order cites the safety of students as the primary concern, especially following the orange alert issued by the meteorological department. The closure applies to the city’s government, private, and aided schools.
However, colleges will remain open, with managements instructed to take necessary precautions while conducting classes.
Some schools have already informed parents that they plan to compensate for the lost days by holding classes on Saturdays in November and reducing Christmas holidays in December.
