“Don’t worry, the government will ensure that you get justice in this incident,” Shivakumar told Kumar over a phone call.

Wing Commander Shiladitya Bose had shared a selfie video, showing blood dripping from his forehead, claiming that Kumar had assaulted him.

Following a complaint from Bose’s wife, the police arrested Kumar.

However, in a counter-complaint, Kumar alleged that Bose had assaulted him, throwing away his phone and bike keys. CCTV footage from the spot reportedly showed Bose knocking down Kumar and kicking him relentlessly.

The Baiyyappanahalli police have booked Bose for attempted murder and launched an investigation.

An investigator stated that they are still collecting eyewitness accounts and gathering leads. The further course of action is yet to be decided.
