Bengaluru: The Magadi Road police have registered a case after a man bit and injured another’s finger in a suspected incident of road rage, officials said on Thursday.
The police said that the incident occurred on the night of May 25 when the victim, Jayanth Shekar, was returning home near Magadi Road along with his wife and mother-in-law after having dinner.
Around 8.45 pm, it was alleged that the suspect, who was driving a Hyundai i10, stopped Shekar’s MG Windsor. As per the FIR, the suspect dragged Shekar out of his vehicle, accused him of splashing water on his car, and began assaulting him.
“When the victim raised his hand to protect himself, the suspect bit him on his finger and injured him,” the FIR stated.
It was also alleged that a woman got out of the suspect’s car and abused the victim and his family. Shekar was then taken to a hospital where, as per the FIR, he underwent minor surgery on the injured finger.
The Magadi Road police have registered a case, and a further probe is underway, officials added.
