Bengaluru: CMR Group of Institutions and CMR University, one of Bengaluru’s leading private universities, celebrated their 34th Founder’s Day with the inauguration of a new academic block and the felicitation of outstanding student achievers.
At the ceremony, 207 CMR scholarships, 18 sports scholarships, and 22 leadership awards were presented. In addition, 2,112 students received scholarships in the form of fee concessions.
During the inauguration, Transport and Muzrai Minister Ramalinga Reddy said, “The scholarships and awards presented today reflect the CMR Group’s steadfast commitment to nurturing young talent and shaping future leaders.”
In his address, Dr KP Gopalankrishna, Chairman of NPS Group of Institutions, NAFL, and TISB, stressed that as technology — especially AI — reshapes education, students must use it with discipline rather than dependence.
The new academic block was inaugurated by Ramalinga Reddy, Dr KP Gopalakrishna, and Dr C Honappa Gowda, international kabaddi player and Arjuna awardee.
Also present were Dr KC Ramamurthy, IPS (Retd), former Rajya Sabha member and Chairman of CMR Group of Institutions and CMR University; KC Jaganath Reddy, Secretary, CMR Jnanadhara Trust; Dr Sabitha Ramamurthy, Chancellor, CMR University; Jayadeep KR Reddy, CEO, CMR Group of Institutions and Pro-Chancellor, CMR University; Dr Tristha Ramamurthy, Founder of Ekya Schools and Vice-President, CMR Group of Institutions; and Dr HB Raghavendra, Vice-Chancellor, CMR University.
