Bengaluru: One more techie from Bengaluru, hailing from Andhra Pradesh, has been reported dead in the terror attack that unfolded in Pahalgam on Tuesday, police sources told DH

The deceased has been identified as S Madhusudhan Rao, a resident of east Bengaluru’s Ramamurthy Nagar. He moved to Bengaluru about three years ago from his native Kavali town in Nellore in Andhra Pradesh. He had been working as a software engineer for IBM, according to police sources.

Rao was sitting alone when the terror suspects approached him and opened fire at him. His wife, son, and daughter had gone to the camp to receive food. Police said that Rao and his family went to Kashmir on Sunday with three more families. The other families were also nearby but escaped the attack, police said. 

"We sent a team to visit the family’s house in Ramamurthy Nagar, but their house was locked. We received information that the body will be flown down to Chennai and will later be handed over to his family in Andhra Pradesh," an officer from Ramamurthy Nagar police station said.
