Lucknow: The in-laws of Bengaluru techie Atul Subhash, who died by suicide leaving behind a 23-page note and a video in which he accused his estranged wife, her mother and others of 'harassing' him, refused to speak to the media persons, who made a beeline before their residence in Uttar Pradesh's Jaunpur town, about 200 kilometres from here, on Wednesday.
According to the reports, Atul's mother in-law, who lived in Khoa Mandi locality in Jaunpur, and his brother-in-law said that they would put forward their point of view only in the presence of their lawyer.
''We will not talk unless our lawyer is present....we will call you (media) when we have anything to say,'' Atul's brother-in-law was quoted as having told the reporters in a media report.
Some reports said that the in-laws asked the media persons not to click photos and turn off their cameras even as the media persons kept on requesting them to respond to their queries.
Some reports said that the techie's mother-in-law levelled counter allegations against Atul and claimed that the latter used to 'torture' her daughter.
Atul, a Bengaluru based techie, had died by suicide leaving behind a suicide note and a video in which he accused his estranged wife and her family of 'harassing' him through court cases and demanding money.
