
Bengaluru: The Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan (BVB), Bengaluru Kendra, is set to mark its Sixtieth Anniversary with a grand 12-day festival titled “Santhavani” from November 10 to 21.
Hosted at Khincha Hall on Race Course Road, the festival aims to highlight the invaluable contribution of Indian poet-saints, philosophers, and spiritual thinkers in enriching the nation’s diverse heritage.
The event is segmented into two main phases: a Film Festival followed by a series of illuminating sessions featuring eminent scholars and spiritual leaders.
The festival will kick off with a five-day film festival from November 10 to 14, dedicated to devotional classics.
The inauguration on November 10 will be led by National Awardee Film Director, T S Nagabharana.
The opening day will also see the inauguration of a book exhibition-cum-sale, featuring bestsellers on related topics, by noted critic and columnist
Dr Narahalli Balasubramanya.
The core lecture series will run from November 15 to 21. The sessions will be inaugurated by M Veerappa Moily, Former Chief Minister of Karnataka and Saraswathi Samman Recipient, with a Keynote Address by Shatavadhani R Ganesh.
The sessions promise a deep dive into the lives and philosophies of spiritual traditions across India and beyond, featuring an array of speakers. Topics will range from the Vaishnava and Shaiva traditions of the South to the philosophies of the North.
