Bengaluru: Astronomy enthusiasts in Bengaluru can witness a total lunar eclipse on September 7 and 8, visible across India.
The Jawaharlal Nehru Planetarium said the eclipse can be safely viewed with the naked eye.
“Please note that no special equipment is needed to view the lunar eclipse. It is safe to view through an unaided eye. The public can view this eclipse from their respective places, provided the sky is clear. This eclipse is visible all over India,” the statement read.
On September 7, the penumbral eclipse begins at 8:58 pm, partial eclipse at 9:57 pm, total eclipse at 11 pm, and maximum eclipse at 11:41 pm.
On September 8, the total eclipse ends at 12:22 am, partial eclipse at 1:26 am, and penumbral eclipse at 2:25 am.
