Bengaluru: The Bengaluru Traffic Police (BTP) collected Rs 9.3 lakh in fines during a special drive targeting traffic violators.

Among the violations, 570 cases were registered for driving against one-way traffic or in no-entry zones, resulting in fines totalling Rs 2.82 lakh.

The highest collection came from "other cases", which include pending fines for common violations such as footpath parking, no-entry driving, and no-parking offenses. A total of 1,033 such cases were registered, yielding Rs 5.18 lakh in fines.

The BTP also registered 152 cases of wrong parking, collecting Rs 91,200 in fines.
