The suspect, identified as Chandrahasa, worked at Vishal Mega Mart in Kengeri. He allegedly attacked Usharani, who owns a fish shop opposite the mart.

Usharani told the police that around 9 pm on August 2, an argument broke out between her and Chandrahasa over space. When she tried to raise the issue with the store manager, Chandrahasa became aggressive and abused her.

“He also attacked me with a sharp weapon and flashed me in front of the public,” the victim told the police.

A passerby called 112. The police arrived promptly, diffused the situation, and arrested Chandrahasa.

He has been booked under multiple Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) sections, including assault or use of criminal force on a woman with intent to outrage her modesty, sexual harassment, and criminal intimidation.
