The suspects are Raghu alias Appu, 23; Kenchegowda, 26; Madesha, 27; and Shashikumar, 24.

The woman told the police that the incident took place late Monday night at her friend Nagesh’s house in Sai Layout. The police said that Nagesh had planned to introduce her to Raghu, but he had other intentions.

She alleged that the four men barged into the house, threatened her, and two of them sexually assaulted her while Nagesh was present.

The woman further claimed that the suspects forced her and Nagesh to transfer about Rs 20,000 to an online gaming wallet. They also took some items from the house, including their mobile phones, reportedly to settle a debt.

"Based on her complaint, the Parappana Agrahara police registered a case of gang rape. Four suspects have been apprehended based on CCTV footage and other technical evidence,” a senior police officer said.

The officer added that the woman’s medical examination was conducted on Tuesday, and the report was awaited.
