Bengaluru: The much-anticipated Republic Day flower show at Lalbagh will commence on Thursday, with Chief Minister Siddaramaiah inaugurating the event, accompanied by Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar, cabinet ministers, and other dignitaries.

This year’s theme, celebrating the life and works of Adikavi Maharishi Valmiki, is expected to draw over 10 lakh visitors from across the country. More than 300 exhibitions will be on display, showcasing stunning floral artistry.

Highlights such as the Ikebana, Indian floral art, floral rangoli, vegetable carving, Dutch flower Show, Thai art, Janur, and Bonsai exhibits will be inaugurated on Saturday by film actor Prema.

Parking arrangements

Ample parking facilities have been arranged at the Shantinagar bus stand, Hopcoms premises, and the BBMP multi-storey parking on JC Road. Two-wheelers can park at the Al-Ameen College premises.
