N S Ravi, representative of the Bharatinagar Residents Forum said a lot of people from Frazer Town, Cox Town, Kammanahalli, Kacharakanahalli and other areas travel to and from Chennai regularly. “We will go to Cantonment, Yeshwanthpur or even City to board the train to Chennai. But on the way back, the train arrives at 9.30 pm and we want it to stop here for a few minutes so that we can alight.”

He said it is becoming a problem getting to this part of the City in the night. If the Railways do not oblige, the residents will send a memorandum to the Divisional Railway Manager (Bangalore). “And if that too fails to yield results, we will have a rail rokho here,” Ravi said.

The residents also wanted the number of reservation counters to go up to six from the existing one.
