Biking Queens, a Surat-based all-women biking group reached Bengaluru on Wednesday at around 8 pm.

They set off from Surat on July 19 to travel across 15 states over 45 days with Khardung-La in Ladakh being their final destination, where they plan to hoist the national flag on Independence Day.

The All India All Women Bike Rally consists of 50 bikers—all of whom hail from Gujarat. The group has already covered Gujarat and Maharashtra and will proceed towards Dindigul in Tamil Nadu after the Karnataka stretch is done. Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Chandigarh and Himachal Pradesh are few of the states which they will ride through.

The group plans to talk to villagers in every state and spread the word of women empowerment and pass on the message of ‘Sashakt Nari, Sashakt Bharat.’

Biking Queens was founded in 2015 by Dr Sarika Mehta, a psychologist by profession. Their motto is to keep working towards the welfare of the society through their passion for riding.
