The State government has approved the third yearly allocation for B-Trac at a cost of Rs 40 crore. Blackberry helps in creating a database of traffic offenders and ensuring enhanced punishment for habitual offenders. The fund will help the Karnataka State Police Housing Corporation Ltd set up a Traffic Training and Safety Institute at Thanisandra in the City.
