The 57th birthday of Urban Development Minister Byrathi Basavaraj was celebrated by the BJP workers of the KR Puram assembly constituency on Thursday.
Basavaraj, who is also the Davangere district in-charge minister, visited a temple with his family members in the morning. Several ministers, MLAs, MLCs and government officials greeted him on the occasion.
His supporters organised blood donation camps, and distributed fruits at orphanages and study materials among students of government schools in KR Puram. The Shanta Krishnamurthy Foundation organised a blood donation camp in NRI Layout. A special 650-kg cake, themed around Covid awareness, was the key attraction.
Former BBMP corporators B N Jayaprakash, M N Srikanth, Bande S Raju, P J Anthony Swamy, Suresh and other prominent BJP leaders from KR Puram participated in the birthday celebrations.
