Bengaluru: The Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) launched metro feeder bus services covering the Yellow Line on Tuesday.

Transport Minister Ramalinga Reddy and Bengaluru South MLA M Krishnappa flagged off the buses at Wipro Gate 6 in Electronics City Phase 1. 

The BMTC has deployed 12 buses on four routes and will operate 96 trips per day. 

The buses will cover six newly opened metro stations: Hosa Road, Beretena Agrahara, Electronics City, Konappana Agrahara, Hebbagodi, and Bommasandra. 

The BMTC also operates 214 services along 45 metro feeder routes, covering 2,750 trips and serving more than 1.2 lakh passengers daily. 

Passengers can scan QR codes at metro bus stations and inside trains for bus schedules, live tracking and other related information. 

The BMTC also operates 3,000 trips through 619 buses on 100 routes along Hosur Main Road. 

From the Wipro Gate in Electronics City, 80 buses operate on 14 routes, covering 700 trips. In addition, the BMTC runs 87 buses on four routes via Wipro Gate. 

Further, 60 buses operate along 18 routes from different areas to Electronics City and Wipro through NICE Road, serving 14,000 passengers daily. 

On average, the BMTC operates 6,217 buses covering 65,206 trips and serving about 40 lakh passengers daily. 

Feeder bus schedules

MF-22: Electronics City to Wipro Gate via Konappana Agrahara, Hosa Road, Kasavanahalli, Kaikondrahalli and Doddakannalli. Four buses make 32 trips daily. 

The first bus from Electronics City departs at 8.20 am and the last at 4.55 pm. The first service from Wipro Gate is at 7.10 am and the last at 3.55 pm. 

MF-22A: Electronics City to Wipro Gate (Kodathi) via Konappana Agrahara, Electronics City, Huskur Gate, Chintala Madivala, Muthanallur Cross, Thimmasandra Cross and Chandapura Cross. 

Four buses make 24 trips on this route daily. 

The first bus from Electronics City departs at 8.40 am and the last at 4.50 pm. In the return direction, the first service is at 8.05 am and the last at 5.35 pm. 

MF-22B: Bommasandra to Bommasandra via Thirupalya Cross, S-Mando-3, Electronics City Wipro Gate, Konappana Agrahara, Electronics City and Hebbagodi. 

Two buses will make 20 trips on this route daily. 

The first bus is at 8.30 am and the last 6.05 pm. 

MF-22C: Konappana Agrahara to Konappana Agrahara via Electronics City Wipro Gate, S-Mando-3, Thirupalya Cross, Bommasandra, Hebbagodi and Electronics City. 

Two buses make 20 trips on this route daily. 

The first bus is at 8.25 am and the last 6.05 pm.
