Bengaluru: The Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) has hit a blockbuster with its 'Divya Darshana' package tour, which has received an overwhelming public response, prompting the service to operate daily from July 2.
Initially launched on May 28 by Transport Minister Ramalinga Reddy as a weekend and public holiday offering, the surge in bookings quickly necessitated the expansion.
The air-conditioned buses ensure a comfortable journey for pilgrims exploring some of Bengaluru’s heritage temples. Priced at Rs 450 for adults and Rs 350 for children, the Divya Darshana package includes visits to eight prominent temples in and around the city. The AC bus departs daily from the Kempegowda Bus Station (Majestic) at 8.30 am.
"Currently, one bus is allotted for the daily trip," said a BMTC official.
