Bengaluru: Bangalore University (BU) was forced to cancel and postpone the BCA fifth-semester examination, scheduled on Friday, following complaints from students about out-of-syllabus questions.
The decision came just minutes after the exam began.
Students reported that the question paper contained questions from the Data Analytics subject instead of the scheduled Data Mining syllabus. Surprised by the discrepancy, they promptly alerted the examiners.
After verifying the issue, the university cancelled the examination.
"The error originated from the paper setters," a university official confirmed.
The rescheduled exam will now take place on January 24, and officials assured that action will be taken against those responsible for the mistake.
