Three passengers were injured in a collision between two buses at Vaderahalli level crossing near Ramanagaram on Friday morning. The injured were rushed to BGS Rotary Hospital in Ramanagaram and are out of danger, said the police.

Train services from Mysuru to Bengaluru were disrupted for more than one-and-half hours as one of the buses involved in the accident turned upside down on the track. The police used a crane to lift the bus off the track. Train services resumed after the bus was cleared from the track.

The Malgudi Express heading for Benglauru at 9.50 am was stopped at Ramanagaram railway station till 11.20 am, added the police. The accident also adversely affected vehicular movement on the Bengaluru-Mysuru highway.

The police temporarily made diversions and facilitated one-way traffic. The accident occurred around 9 am when two private buses were heading for Ramanagaram from Bengaluru.

A private bus driver approached the level crossing at full speed. He tried to overtake another private bus, but hit it from behind. The bus was pushed further due to collision from behind. It hit a Jersey barrier (a cement wall on the roadside) and fell on the track, added the police.
