Geetha Vishnu (35), the grandson of the late DK Audikesavulu Naidu, former Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) chairman and former MP, has been accused of assaulting Syed Sadique H, 40, a resident of Umar Nagar.

Sadique alleged that on May 19, at the Shangri-La Hotel, Vishnu assaulted and shoved him, causing injuries to his back. Sadique, who claimed to be a member of the hotel's club, was also verbally abused, the FIR noted.

While Sadique lodged his complaint at the police station at 10.45 pm, Vishnu filed a counter-complaint at 11.30 pm.

In his complaint, Vishnu alleged that when he was changing clothes after working out at the gym, his sweat fell on Sadique, following which he was assaulted. Vishnu alleged, as per the FIR, that Sadique punched him in the eye and threatened him with consequences if he was seen at the gym again.

"Based on the complaint and counter-complaint, cases have been registered," a senior police officer told DH. "The incidents allegedly occurred between 8 pm and 9 pm. Further proceedings have been initiated."

Cases in 2017, 2022

It may be recalled that in 2017, Vishnu was arrested and charged by the Bengaluru police for ramming his luxury car into another vehicle and a BBMP signboard near South End Circle, injuring six people including two children. The police had alleged that he was driving under the influence of marijuana.

In 2022, Vishnu's father, DK Adi Srinivas Naidu, was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in a narcotics case.
