Bengaluru: BBMP Chief Commissioner Tushar Girinath on Friday instructed officials to complete the white-topping of BVK Iyengar Road by December 15.
The top civic official inspected various places in the South Zone, particularly after visiting the 190-metre stretch between Chikpet and Sultanpet junctions.
He also directed officials to replace the old medians with precast medians and added that footpaths should have flat walking surfaces.
Girinath asked officials to complete the construction of a maternity hospital in JJR Nagar General Hospital as soon as possible.
The 100-bed maternity hospital, being constructed at a cost of Rs 8 crore, will have general and maternity wards.
Pointing out the incomplete white-topping works at Majestic, Girinath asked to complete the works at the 350-metre stretch by the end of December.
