Bengaluru: The Karnataka government on Friday issued an order transferring IPS officer C Vamsi Krishna and appointing him as Joint Commissioner of Police (JCP), West Division, Bengaluru.
The position became vacant after the government suspended Vikash Kumar Vikash in connection with the stampede at M Chinnaswamy Stadium, in which 11 people died.
Previously, Krishna served as the Deputy Inspector General of Police (Recruitment).
