A woman,  who was injured after the car by which she was travelling reportedly caught fire on Cunningham Road on March 13, died on Monday.

The victim, Rasheeda Begum, 55, a resident of Kurubarahalli, failed to respond to the treatment and died at Victoria Hospital, police said.

On March 13, Begum along with five other family members and driver Sadiq, was travelling in a white Maruti Omni. When they approached Cunningham Road, the car reportedly stopped and Sadiq got down to check on the fuel in the vehicle. As he opened the fuel tank, sparks flew and in no time, the car was up in flames.
