Bengaluru: The Central Crime Branch (CCB) of the Bengaluru police has cracked down on multiple prostitution rackets across the city, rescuing 10 women, including foreign nationals, in four separate cases between January 16 and 25, officials said on Monday.
Among those rescued was a woman from Ukraine, who had entered India legally with a passport, while others were from Nepal and Bangladesh. “We are investigating how the foreign nationals were trafficked into the country. Deportation procedures are underway,” a senior police officer said.
In a case registered under the HAL police station limits, two foreigners and a four-year-old child were rescued. Authorities confirmed that on January 16, they were handed over to immigration officers at the Chennai airport and deported.
The remaining cases involved raids at a hotel and two residences in KR Puram, Sampigehalli, and Hanumantanagar. Investigators said the women were being held at these locations and forced into prostitution. "Legal action has been initiated against the suspects, including the pimps," a senior officer stated.

In a separate incident, the CCB police arrested four Bangladeshi nationals, including three women in their 20s, for staying in the city illegally.
Two separate cases were registered at the Bandepalya and Sarjapur police stations. Investigators also discovered that the arrested individuals possessed Indian passports and PAN cards. A further probe is underway, the police said.
