Bengaluru: The Central Crime Branch (CCB) of the Bengaluru police has rescued four women who were allegedly forced into prostitution, officials said on Saturday.
On May 14, the women’s protection wing of the crime branch received a tip-off that the women were being solicited into prostitution at a house in Basaveshwara Nagar. The team of officials immediately launched a raid.
The information turned out to be accurate. Four women were rescued, and two suspects were arrested. A case was registered at the Basaveshwara Nagar police station, and a further probe is underway, officials said.
