Bengaluru, DHNS: The Central Crime Branch (CCB) police arrested two persons on Thursday, a day after they held a press conference and charged that CCB officials were having nexus with the owners of Ambidant company and demanded that CBI investigate the case.

Zaid Khan, an architect who claimed to be one of the investors, had said CCB was not a competent agency to investigate the case as money to the tune of Rs 900 crore had been diverted to various companies, including those outside the country.

A CCB official said that a notice had been issued to Khan and his associate Sirajuddin to appear before the investigating officer as there was evidence that they had taken money from Ambidant. They did not appear before the investigation officer. Hence, they were arrested, he said. Both of them would be produced before the court, seeking their police custody.
