Members of China's Chengdu municipal authorities visited the BBMP office on Friday and met Mayor R Sampath Raj, Palike commissioner N Manjunath Prasad and other officials. The two sides had signed a memorandum to be sister-concern cities in 2013.
According to senior BBMP officials, the Chengdu municipal members had discussed the implementation of various environment-friendly measures like the use of electric vehicles for public transport in the city.
"The BBMP mayor has discussed how the city is implementing the waste-to-energy method, and also spoke about the education system," an official said.
