A student of Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, Sarah is on her maiden visit to the country to take part in in the four-nation students’ meet in Bangalore.
Abhoring a few ‘authoritarian’ norms and lack of liberty for students back home, Sarah said:

“We are not as free as students here in India are. We cannot use Facebook, Orkut,  Instead, we have to use indigenous Chinese sites which don’t give us adequate global exposure.”

Sarah was one of the 30  international management students who discussed the management techniques as well as the learning practices of their respective countries at a conference hosted by Xavier Institute of Management and Entrepreneurship(XIME).

The three-day conference which  began on Friday, features business games, debates, quizzes as well as talks by experts from the industry. The participants are from institutes like Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, Graduate School of Business, State University of Management, Moscow and few Indian B-schools.
