Bengaluru: The Samagra Shiksha Karnataka has withdrawn a circular it had issued on teaching the ‘Partition Horrors’ module of the NCERT in schools.

On September 2, the organisation sent a circular, where it noted that links to modules prepared by the NCERT along with the Ministry of Culture on the ‘Partition Horrors’ should be sent to schools to create awareness about it among primary and high school students.

However, a fresh circular mentioned that these links to modules should not be sent to the schools, and even if they are sent, teachers and students should be directed not to use them.
